Los Plantronics have cooked up a rock'n'roll recipe unlike anything you've ever heard before. This is a genre they truly rule: red hot Mariachi Death Surf. Instead of trying to categorize the sound it's better to try to explain the many flavours of the music:
Elvis Memphis-Era recordings, James Brown, Detroit Garage-Mitch Ryder and the MC5, Link Wray, Bo Diddley, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Dr. John, Ennio Morricone style orchestration to name a few. All mixed up in a blaze of fiery Mariachi style beats and horns. The new album "Organic Voodoo Soup" is slated for a March 11 release in Norway. The album was produced by the band and engineered by Roar Nilsen at Parachute Studios, recorded live.
Los Plantronics toured heavily the last few years in support of their highly acclaimed album Rancho Notorious! (2007) and have shared the stage with The Hives, Jim Jones Revue, Dick Dale, The Sonics, Hellacopters, The Defectors and Los Coronas, amongst others. This year the band will tour Europe, Mexico and the USA.

"My Favorite band in the whole F@#%ing world" -Paul Ronney Angel, The Urban Voodoo Machine
"This Album really grooves - one of the highlights of the year, a mind-blowing production and exciting adventurous arrangements"
